Target Audience: Prenatal Genetic Counselors and Obstetric Providers
This training webinar equips prenatal genetic counselors with practical strategies for preparing obstetricians to communicate prenatal genetic diagnoses with sensitivity, accuracy, and compassion. This course is designed to share evidence-based recommendations and implementation strategies to improve the diagnosis delivery experience and better support new and expectant parents.
This course includes practical communication techniques, videos of real parents sharing their prentatal diagnosis experience, and a mock results delivery scenario to enhance learning.
The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) has authorized [Lettercase / Genetic Support Foundation[ to offer up to 0.2 CEUs or 2 Category 1 contact hours for the activity Training the Trainers: How to Support Clinicians in Sensitive Delivery of Prenatal Genetic Diagnoses. The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) will accept CEUs earned at this program for the purposes of genetic counselor recertification.
