The Lettercase National Center for Prenatal and Postnatal Resources is a program at the Genetic Support Foundation and provides resources and support for medical providers and expectant parents first learning about a prenatal or postnatal diagnosis. We offer a clearinghouse of accurate, balanced, and up-to-date information about various genetic conditions for expectant parents first receiving the news. Our resources discuss common medical conditions, available supports and services, and common life outcomes in multiple languages. Check out our library of resources available online, in print, and in the Apple and Android app stores.
In addition, we publish in journals and national media outlets about prenatal testing and patient support, and we give presentations at national medical and advocacy conferences about the importance of building relationships between the medical and patient advocacy communities to make sure patient receive the support they need during a critical time. Take a look at our recent publications and contact us if you’re interested in inviting us speak at a conference.
Furthermore, we provide technical assistance and training to clinicians about best practices for delivering a diagnosis, and we also provide a training curriculum to patient advocacy groups to help them prepare representatives of their organizations to build relationships with the medical community in their local area. Contact us if you’re interested in learning more about training.
